I’m an ordinary hobbyist, not a professional photographer. I’m somewhere in between a complete beginner and someone who really knows what they’re doing, and that is exactly who I write for.
iShots is about taking better photos of the outdoors with the camera most of us actually carry: the phone in our pocket. I walk, I hike, and I like coming home with a shot that reminds me of what I saw.
Most of what I share comes from getting outside and trying things. A composition trick that finally made a landscape look right. A cheap little mount that fixed a shake I could not see until I got home. A nearby walk that turned into a good morning of photos.
I write for people who want better outdoor photos without buying a big camera or learning a manual, and who maybe want a reason to get outside a bit more often. If that sounds like you, you will feel at home here.
These days I spend more of my free time on outdoors, hiking and photography, and I write it all down here as much to remember it as to share it.
